I've just about convinced myself not to rebuild the engine that came with the project i purchased a few years ago.

The engine has probably been sitting for about 10-15 years (10 years or so in Pennsylvania).

O-360-A4J engine that has been converted to fuel injection.

I'm planning on having it borescoped but was interested in opinions from on here what it might be worth to sell to help fund a new IO-360-M1B

A quality overhaul will run 25-30K with no surprises, vs. New IO-360M1B around 44K. Is the additional money worth a factory new engine w/warranty?

Borescoope only tells part of the story.

You need to pull a cylinder to take a good look at the cam and rods-----both are prone to rust.
