I've searched the forum for knowledge and have found many related threads but here's my direct question: What sgould the timing be on an O-360 carbed engine with LASER Ignition and 9 to 1 compression?
On my engine data plate it says 25 BTDC. So on my stock O-360 carburated 180HP, it would be 25 degrees. But since I added LASER ignition and slightly higher compression....is 20 a better number?
I'm chasing slightly higher than average CHT's, highest in #2, and this conversation about timing came up. What do you experts think in the VAFsphere?
