Part Mistakes?

As per my previous post about the rear tail tie down, I went back and looked at my plans. As I had suspected several years ago when I originally drilled the piece, it was backwards. The welder misread the plans and had the steel piece upside down and went ahead and welded it. No problem it still worked. I also found the part used for the exit air from the engine cowling was bent at 4 1/2 inches rather than that being the total size of the metal used for the part.

So how many of you folks found parts in your kits (quick build) that were not to the plans specifications or reversed? Just curious if it might be wide spread or just an isolated incident or two.

To solve the problem on my tie down, I simply cut a bit of steel off the angle and it worked perfectly. Thanks to those who replied.
