I am keen to find out how and where you installed the controller for the Garmin heated pitot (GAP 26). Manual says it has to be less than 2 feet from the pitot itself. That basically leaves the bay just inboard from the pitot where the inspection hole is. The inboard rib is likely out of the question due to the aileron controls. The outboard rib has the large lighting holes in it. That leaves the main spar and bottom and top skins.
Before I read about the 2 feet requirement, I was going to place it behind the cover of the flap tube in front of rear seat. Does anyone know why the 2 feet is stipulated?
