G3X Touch "Miscompare" Alert Truncated

Dad's RV-10

Well Known Member
I'm in Config Mode in the Sound Configuration menu. I have "Miscompare Alert" Enabled. When I select test, I only hear the voice say "...air"

It sounds as if it's only playing the tail end of the word "miscompare."

Several other alerts, such as "Minimums Alert" and "VNE Alert" are silent when pressing test, although it displays "Testing airspeed alert on PFD mono/stereo outputs" on the screen when doing so.

This is a G3X Touch system that was swapped-in recently replacing a G3X Legacy system.

Whatever audio panel or intercom you have may needs to have its aux input squelch levels adjusted.

Thanks, Matt. Its a GMA-240. I look at the manual.

I looked in the GMA-240 manual and read about adjusting the MASQ Mute Level, which is done with a screwdriver through the top of the unit.

But I searched the forum for "MASQ" and found this old post from Brantel suggesting to increase the Master Alert Volume in the Sound Configuration menu.

That did the trick! It was set to 50%. At 80%, I can hear all of the alerts.
