Do these new -10 inboard ribs have an edge distance issue?

For context, my build was at the point where I had started installing the top skins when the LCP news came out. I drilled everything off. I received my replacement wing ribs and am now back to the point of reinstalling the top skins.

The new inboard wing ribs I received have more flange tabs than the original ribs that came with my kit. Please see image _3122 of my original left inboard rib with one long flange, top aft.

So, when I match drilled my top skin/wing walk doubler plates to the new left inboard rib, I noticed that the edge distance is very close to the rib flange edges in three places where nutplates are attached. It looks like when they put those additional notches in for flanges, they split the difference between the two punched holes and didn't take into account the match drilled holes from the skin.

Is this OK for nutplates? If not, it would seem the new inboard ribs with additional flange tabs are not compatible with the original skins and wing walk doublers. Those notches need to be adjusted to accommodate edge distance requirements.

Vans said it's a known item but a non-issue structurally and to build on.

If you haven't already match drilled this area, you might consider using the one-legged nutplates if the spacing of the existing holes in the skins and wing walk doubler works out. You'll be left with some unused holes in the skins but maybe better than having those rivets so close to the edges.
