Canada smoke

Looks like the wildfires... smoke... from Canada could impact Oshkosh. Anyone have any thoughts on this especially how it might affect flying in to the show?

I just saw Vic S. brief on arrival to the OSH area in his Hummingbird helicopter. He said smoke from middle TN to Chicago dropped visibility to 3 miles! NOT GOOD.

Flew to a pancake breakfast on Saturday here in mid-Minnesota...visibility was bad at takeoff, got really bad halfway between here and there...prolly less than 3 miles visibility at best. I stayed low, but then they threw in scattered clouds at 1000 ft AGL, so a bit of a slalom. Amazing how spotty the dense smoke is. Those wildfires have been a nuisance.

Vic Syracuse posted about an hour ago, said smoke was bad coming from Tennessee...3 miles visibility but cleared up nicely north of Chicago.
