Everything checked out underneath the cowl after the 45 minute flight with the new cylinders, I wanted to "fly it like I stole it" and try to get the rings seated. Since I was going to be burning 16 GPH I thought why not look for the cheapest gas. Up with the sun and heading south.
Pretty sure these guys have some of the cheapest gas in the country, and it was exactly a 2 hour flight, the fuel tanks seem kinda small at full throttle power settings. Sounded like things were hopping at Cedar Mills (3T0), I tried to stay away from the crowds while breaking in the engine to keep low power settings to a minimum.
This poor RV was left on the ground on a beautiful Saturday morning...
With a tailwind on the way back I meandered around eastern Oklahoma to get a full 2 hours, who knew there were mountains in Oklahoma?
Just a couple of the many lakes I flew over:
Texoma
Sardis
Tenkiller
Grand (Monkey Island)
Back in time for an early lunch. I was really hoping the cylinders/rings would've broken in on this flight but CHT's are still 30 degrees higher than normal.
