Just started Empennage and preparing to order a QB wing, Standard fuse...
From a building and flying perspective looking for pros and cons, input of electric vs manual trim note: I will be installing a 2 axes AP.... I looked for an earlier discussion if there is one please advise. Thanks!

If you use the search function above and type in "manual vs electric trim" you should have a few hours of reading.
Hope this helps.

It will be interesting to hear the opinions on this one. My RV7 (building) has electric, but transition training was done with manual and it sure was easy to adjust from one configuration to another, three big twists -done. Also just discussed this same topic with an RV7A builder/flyer, and he went electric to keep the cabin area less cluttered. In the same discussion, an RV8 pilot said he has electric, but had zero issues with setting or adjustments. In theory, electric allows automated trim adjustments, so that might be an advantage, but all selections of trim seem to be an acceptable flying solution.

My -6 has been flying for over 20 years with manual trim. Wouldn't have it any other way. Never had a malfunction of any kind. I't's a personal preference.
Of course, I also like manual flaps, so what do I know.

Flew the -8A and the -10

with electric trim --- now that I have a -6A with manual trim, would not go back --- perhaps would have electric IF there was a manual backup, but the all electric mode never made me comfortable. All of the Certified airplanes I owned always had a dual mode ---- manual and electric.

Much prefer the electric trim. But this question always comes up. As suggested, read all the threads with the search function. Otherwise it's just a re-hash of both camps with opposing sides.
