I realize it's about a zillion degrees in the East, but if you're planning on a trip to Oshkosh this summer, it's starting to become obvious we're in some weird cycle. So far it's been one of the wettest, coolest crappiest springs I can remember.

I have to admit, I'm not really warming to the idea of an entire week of wet clothes and flooded tents.

Here's hoping things change.

Good chance Arlington falls in this category as well. Weather here in the Seattle area has just been miserable. Snow in late April, then record low high's here in June with another 12" of snow dumped in the mountains the last day. When's the global warming getting here?:D

Hey Bob,

If your camper leaks, you are welcome to stay with us in the North 40 in a dry tent :D

Plan A for us is OSH, Bo.

Plan B (if damp) is to go to the Dayton, Ohio AF museum for a few days and stay in a nice dry hotel!

You might be right on the damp thing, four days in a wet tent isn't too much fun :D.

b,

Now Doug, don't go scaring folks away!

True, we have had an unusually cool, wet spring, after an unusually cold, snowy winter. However, I would be shocked if this weather hangs around into late July. It is usually pretty dry by then, with the occasional T-storm to keep down the dust.

Besides, you can go to Dayton anytime, but you can only go to Oshkosh once a year!

I am coming and staying in a tent even if I have to wear swim shorts and floaties.

First time going and may not get back there for years so....if I have to I will put up my small tent inside my big one or sleep under the tonnaeu in the back of my truck.

Bring an inflatable mattress if you're tenting. We'll get at least one gullywasher and that'll keep the sleeping bag dry.

And the Maytag Coin Op laundry is the best kept secret, once everything gets wet. They've got wiFi.

Bob, I've been going to OSH for years, and the laundry is STILL a secret! Where are they (at the risk of exposing the secret)?
