Wow - that's a sniffle valve? I would have never guessed based on the website. I ended up just removing my standard sniffle valve and have not seen any trouble - when it was on, almost nothing ever came out. I have not parked my aircraft uncovered in a rain storm, which seems to be one of the main uses of a sniffle valve, it seems.
I previously had the lycoming sniffle valve. The airflow performance one mentioned is much better. Probably a quarter of the weight, and much more compact.
