RV-12 Panel Fuses

I'm helping with the restoration of an RV-3 and we're thinking about going with the ATC-type fuses in the panel (or armrest panel) like in the RV-12.

It would be easy enough to cut slots in the panel for the fuses to slide through but can someone help me out about the fuse holder underneath. Does Van's sell a special fuse holder that mounts to the back of the panel? Or how's it done?

Regards, Bill

It is an Rv12 part and I think a somewhat different RV14 part now. Give them a call. On the 12 is is combined with the standard switches -see page 3 of this thread. http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=82782
On the Rv14 prototype panel it looks separate from the switches. The Rv14 prototype panel will not be the final one. It had both old and new Dynon tech because the new Skyview, AT THAT TIME, did not yet have the data logging that the older tech had. (It does now.)

The master switch should be shut off if there is any chance that a fuse could short out to the panel during fuse replacement. The fuse-blocks below are not in the RV-12 but might work for your application.

This type might be a challenge to mount behind the panel. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Bussman-ATC-ATO-16-Position-Fuse-Panel-Without-Grounding-Pad-/191089124269
