WH-00059 phone cable

I am attaching my aft fuse to the forward fuse. It's been so long I can't remember what the WH-00059 phone cable is used for? It's routed from the F-01414 Aft Deck forward. Do I need to bring it up behind the panel?

ELT

I believe that one goes to the ELT.

One end at the elt, the other end at the elt remote switch in the panel.

oh, yeah. The ELT! Does it mount on the aft deck? Is it called out in the KAI somewhere or does it depend on which ELT you buy and you figure it out on your own.

It Depends

The ACK brand ELT uses the phone cable to connect the unit in the tailcone to the manual switch on the panel. I opted for the Artex unit which uses a shielded pair to make the connection. I don't know about other brands.

If you have all the digital plans the ACK ELT installation is Section 53. Congrats on reaching the milestone!
