This Snap On spring extension belonged to my late father. I use it every time I take the cowling off. Throw a socket on the end with a bit and you’re good to go.

No worries on the chipped paint, it’s annual number 22

I used that of spring extension for reaming the holes that are very close to the surrounding metal.
Just ground square the end of the reamer to fit into the socket center square.
