Oil Dipstick Tube Not Fitting in the EXP-119 engine

Has anyone encountered their oil dip stick tube NOT being able to be screwed into threads of the IO-390 EXP-119 engine?

Not specifically on the -119 but on my 390. It took me about 4 hours to finally get it screwed in, which included cleaning up the plastic threads after mucking them up slightly. Alignment is absolutely critical in getting it started properly so it may help to look at one already installed to get the proper angle. I dreaded taking it off to install the baffles but since then have taken it off to replace the paper gasket with the silicone one and have had no issues either time.

Thanks for the help. I have a 390 on my 2018 -7A and didn't have any problem back then, but I'll try again using your advice.

yep--Lycoming replaced and it went in like a dream.

Yes. Lots of trepidatious fiddling and then it worked.
