New Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR-T)

Tony Kirk

Well Known Member
I'm proud to announce that I have just been appointed as an FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR-T) for the East Michigan FSDO, GL-23.

I'm looking forward issuing Airworthiness Certificates for many types of Experimental aircraft, but my expertise lies in RV's. Hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to work together certifying your homebuilt aircraft someday.

One thing I want to make perfectly clear is, even though I am currently employed by Van's Aircraft as a Technical Support Specialist ALL DAR activities will be performed separate and apart of any duties and responsibilities I have as a Van's Aircraft Employee. If I perform FAA DAR or EAA Tech Counselor duties I do these things as a private citizen, NOT as a Van's employee. Accordingly, please DO NOT contact me by the methods listed on the DAR locator website for Van's Tech Support questions - I will simply tell you to contact [email protected].

Please see the attachments or use the FAA DAR Locator for my DAR contact information.
