IO360 M1B

I hooked up my VPX and Power to the skytech starter that came on my new IO360M1B and as soon as I turned the master on the starter was a turning. I did not have the flywheel or prop on good thing. After some trouble shooting I found that the starter has a blue wire that runs between the power lug and the solenoid. Normally this is a diode wire to help bleed off power from what I understand. I disconnected this wire and all works as advertised with my starter button and starter safety switch I installed. Has anyone ran into this before and is it possible this blue wire is there so you can use a stater solenoid on the firewall and you just remove it if you want to use the solenoid on the starter?
