GSA28 MOD 1 UPGRADE IMPROVEMENTS ?

I have until May 2028 to trade my GSA 28 servos for the upgrade.
What improvements make it worth the trouble ?
What has been the current turn around time to get the Mod 1 version ?

I’m not sure what Garmin has said (if anything) about the specific reason(s) for the recall. An A&P friend has said he has seen several aircraft with GSA28s where the connectors have worked loose over time, causing arcing in one case. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
