Fuel pressure hose - servo to transducer

I am replacing the fuel pressure hose that runs from my Bendix RSA-5AD1 servo to the fuel pressure transducer on the firewall.
Question: Since there is no flow in that hose, is it necessary to pre-fill it with fuel to eliminate the potential of hysteresis in the fuel pressure gauge due to a hose full of air? I don’t remember from when I put in the hose the last time.

You don´t need to fill up the hose with fuel.
The small amount of air will dampen out any pressure fluctuations.
In fact, it´s easier to connect the transducer without fuel in the hose.
Make sure that sealant used is compatible with fuel.
Permatex or Hylomar will work.

Good luck

Phil, we've found that all the pressure hoses are somewhat self-purging, other than the brakes of course.
