I am looking for any functional differences between a Garmin 335 with WAAS GPS as compared to a Stratus ESG transponder.

They appear to have the same functionality as each other. I.E. both are transponders with AADS-B out and internal GPS.

I am not looking for thoughts on which one is "better".

I appreciate the help.

The 335 is ADS-B Out, but the ESG is ADS-B Out and In.
