I need to order replacement hinge pins for my lower cowl, anyone know offhand what the std diameter is? knowing will certainly save me a trip to the hanger to measure.

Not all of the hinge pins are the same diameter, so it depends on which pins you’re talking about.

I go to the local welding shop with the old one and size them on the spot. They usually just give me the correct size.

In the hangar right now, lower cowl hinge of my -7 cowl:

My vertical pins at the firewall are 1/8th. My horizontal ones between the cowel top and bottom are 3/32.
