Finally got around to loading the latest x45R software that upgrades the ads-b to the can bus. Any changes in the configurations required?

I think what he means is that it shares the FIS-B data over the connected datalink(s) so. the G3X screens can make use of it without having to couple via Bluetooth. Because I was excited for this upgrade as well.

No configuration change required as long as you are on a recent enough version of the G3X software release as well.

Walt, yep thanks for the clarification, Yes the B data vs blue tooth. And thanks. The update is on the same Garmin site for software updates for the G3X etc. You download the tool support and the update. You need a cable with a usb to printer plug. It went well even for a low tech guy like me.
