My favorite plane of all time is the P51 D model. Now when I'm flying I can tell the tower: "I have two P51s on my tail!". Randy Nagle airbrushed "Double Trouble Two" and "Detroit Miss" on my plane. He is a real aviation historian and a heck of a nice guy. THANKS Randy. FYI: www.randynagle.com

I am amazed by airbrush artists..I have no idea how they do it but some of this stuff is amazing..

now that is slick.....in more ways than one. very nice.
i like the camera mans reflection.
Thats how i knew i did a good job when i painted a car....i could read a news paper in the reflection in the paint. but that is wicked slick ;)

G'day Steve. It's good to see your tail art looking pretty awesome and great to meet you the other week at the Van's EAA meeting. Good luck with the finishing and all the best for the first flight.

My rivet trigger finger is surely to develop a twitch being away from my project so long! Never mind, but I hope to post my nose art at some point too. That's if it survives the duration lingering in my imagination...

Howdy, from the good old U.S. of A!

Nice to hear from you Andrew. Hope all is well back home. Do we get a sneak preview of your "nose Art"? Here are a couple photos of a 8 I saw a couple yrs ago. Really liked the unobstructed view out the canopy!. I will see you for sure in Melbourne sometime and hopefully get a ride in your 8. One of my other passions are the worlds reefs and you have the biggest one in the world in your back yard......the GBR! It is not a picture of a plane, so I hope you don't mind but we're not as lucky as you to have the Great Barrier Reef sitting off our shore so our fish bowls have to look like these. As I guess you guys say it......G-Day Mate!
