Default FS: RV14a wings, empennage, fuselage

It's a bummer but I find myself in new life circumstances and am going to sell my RV14a kit as it stands. You've heard the story a million times but here is what you are going to be purchasing.

All work was completed by me (a new builder watched over by experienced builders and A&Ps). I had lots of help from an experienced RV builder who has built a RV10, RV6, and helped on others. I also had lots of help from an experienced A&P and IA mechanic. All parts have mating surfaces primed.

You can view photos of all work done here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6ud7b9ctp...SjHKwd64a?dl=0

Plane is located in the Des Moines Iowa metro area.

Empennage:
Rudder complete
Vertical complete
Elevator complete
Horizontal complete
No glass work is done
No lights are installed

Wings
Flaps complete
Ailerons complete
Fuel tanks complete and tested (lightly mounted on wing for storage)
Bottom skins are ready to rivet but are not on
No glass work is done
SB for aft spar web parts are included but the SB has not been complied with yet.
Control linkages are completed

Fuselage
Forward and aft sections have been mated.
Baggage and seat floors have been installed
Instrument sub panel pieces are ready to install
Tub forward of the baggage bulkhead is ready to be painted
Upgraded vents included
Upgraded stainless steel brake lines including gear legs included ($700 value)
Fuel lines are done in fuselage including a stainless steel flexible line from filter to firewall

Overall I would say the total completion is right around the quickbuild completion level +the empennage pieces being done.

I am asking $29,000 for everything minus tools. This includes a little over $1000 of upgraded parts. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Jim

I wish you had posted this about 18 months ago....

Sorry to hear you have to move on from your build. And I hope your toe is better!

Ha ha. I didn't realize that picture was in there. Yes the toe is all healed. It saved the aileron and healed without any intervention so I'll call that a win...or at least a tie. Sorry the timing didn't work out.

Default Rv14a to 14

Butch

I would give vans a call. I asked them about a tip up to slider change a while back and they they were able to give me a break down of all the parts needed and the cost.

I am not qualified to answer that and second Slouis suggestion to contact Vans. If you get a response I would appreciate it if you could post it here for others.

Thanks,

Jim
