Default GSA28 pitch Servo wonít auto trim with VP-X

I am working on my second install of a G3X system with a VP-X and I get a short circuit on my pitch trim when it runs through the auto pilot Servo. The trim from the Servo works, but not the trim from the VP-X. Anybody else have this problem?

Default Bypass the servo.

Disconnect the connector from the servo (GSA28 autopilot servo, not the trim servo) and jumper pins 11&13 and 12&14. If the trim servo operates normally, you’ve got a bad Garmin autopilot servo.

I did that on both installations with the same result. The roll auto trim works fine on both. Iím just wondering if there is something between the VP-X and the G3X that is a known issue.

My VPX works great with the Garmin Servos and trim servo.

Jesse,

Not sure if you ever had any success with the servos, but this is how my autopilot servos and trim servos are wired to my legacy (not Sport or Pro) VP-X and they all function perfectly.
