Advanced Flight AF-5000 12.2 Software Release

Advanced Flight Systems is releasing our new version 12.2 software with the following new touch screen features:

1. Profile view inset window.
2. Video inset window
3. Transponder loader software with support for the Avidyne IFD540 and IFD440
4. ADS-B Traffic Status display (OK, No Radar, Fail, Unavail)
6. Traffic Audio Alerts

Flying with the new profile view is extremely handy, having it on the map window really adds to situational awareness and safety. We are working on getting a new FLIR camera to take some in flight video with.

Rob - I like the profile inset. Good work.

Questions -
- is there any way to show one's profile against the approach plate? When hand flying, being able to see lateral as well as vertical position relative to the approach is useful.

- i also like the inset showing course/distance to waypoints and the airport. What is the easiest way to see distance/ bearing FROM a given point like the airport or a VOR? I know I can always do the math, but having one less thing to calculate in hard IFR is always good.
