Eagle?s Nest Projects is pleased to announce the addition of Central High School, Salem, Wisconsin, to its growing family of high school campuses building and flying the Van?s RV-12 aircraft. Westosha Central High School is a public high school located in the village of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin, near the border of the town of Salem. Founded in 1952 and with a current enrollment of 1200 students, Central High School is recognized in Wisconsin as a leader in STEM education.
RV-12 builder Jim Senft (VAF-jsenft) organized an Aviation Club at Central HS paving the way for Eagle's Nest accreditation requirements. Jim has a life-long background in education, having taught Advanced Placement physics at Grayslake High School for more than 10 years and now as director of technology at College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois. Jim will serve as Central?s EN Project Director. Community support is already pouring in; Snap-On Tools has donated $10K+ in tools, individual and corporate cash donations now exceed $5K, and hangar space for the completed aircraft has been donated by Camp Lake Airport owners, Audrey & Ed Simpson.
