Default Beaumont Hotel and grass strip near Wichita

A nice article about a bed and breakfast/hotel that has been around since flying began. Grass strip might be extended to 3400' in the future. Taxi your plane down Main St. and park across from the hotel.
Here is a nice article:

Vlad needs to add this to his grass runway list. My last visit there was in 1976. Just be sure to come to a complete stop at the 4-way stop sign in town or risk getting a moving violation. The hotel is at the corner of this intersection. Park across the street by the railroad tracks.

If you are near Wichita, go north to Hutchinson Kansas to perhaps the best but least-known aerospace museum short of the Smithsonian and Wright-Pat. The Cosmosphere. http://www.cosmo.org

I go into this strip often for breakfast and lunch. The west side of the strip is the side you want to land and takeoff from and taxi too if no one else is using the runway. The east side is useable, but is not real smooth.

That is always a fun stop for my boys when we fly through Kansas.
