Johnny's first flight

Mike S

Senior Curmudgeon
Yesterday Laura and I took our daughter Katie, and her husband to Willows for breakfast--------it was his first time in a general aviation plane.

Here is Katie and Johnny and the plane, with the restaurant in the background.

Johnny at the controls-------a couple minutes and he was doing just fine, after I explained how things worked, and told him to keep the little airplane symbol on the magenta line on the GRT, and keep the needle at 4500 on the altimeter, he did great.

Good Job, Mike! Did you say something like, "Welcome, to the good ship RV-10!" when you buckled him in? :D

Dang, wish I would have thought of that one;)

Actually his briefing was mainly on seatbelt/shoulder harness use, and operating the door handle.

BTW, he is hooked:D
