It took a while, but we finally found a hole big enough to let us get out of Arlington and on top. The conditions were such that it was really bumpy between the clouds and the ground and we really didn't want to go that route. We had to go all the way up to 8500 feet to find smooth air, but it was worth it for the view.
It was an absolutely beautiful day (above the clouds) and pictures needed to be taken. Carl was flying off my wing and as we approached Mt. Rainier I wanted to try to get a shot with it in the background. I was hoping either to have his airplane above it or with the mountain above him, but I think this made for an interesting shot.
More photos can be seen here (but none quite as good):http://www.hangara13.com/AerialPhoto.html.
