Tip-Up hydraulic lock???

I am looking for a way to ensure that my canopy does not drop while we are loading...I had an incident where a light breeze came through my hangar door and caused the canopy to come down...luckily I was there to catch it! I know another pilot that bought one made for hatchbacks at an auto store but they are not longer in production...Any ideas??

A length of plastic tube that fits over the thin part and is the length of it. Slice it down the side and just clip it on.
