Default HS-00005 and 6 attach holes.....

Unless I am blind, I canít find it in the plans where is says to match drill the holes in the forward flanges on the HS-00005 and aft flange of HS-00006 to #40. All I see is to pilot the holes to #40. After looking at other builder blogs Iíve noticed they are all drilled to #30.

Iím looking at Pg 6-2 under DRILLING THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER bullet point 2.

Also Pg 6-3 bullet point 3,4,5

I don't remember an issue with drilling the holes but I always drill the smallest size first just in case. I do remember the dimension to relieve the flanges was more than necessary and actually made edge distance rather close. I rebuilt my HS after the SB and documented it. Check my blog, Empennage page, all the way at the bottom.
