Slotting C-621 and C-622

I'm fabricating the C-621 and C-622 (Drawing 47) canopy release links, and looking for techniques to make the 1/16 and 1/8" slots at each end. So far I'm not get satisfactory results with a band saw.

Anyone have suggestions?

Get the thin cut dremel wheels. Once you have a decent gap, you can get a jeweler's file in there to widen the slots as needed.
