Sky Lakes Fly In

It seems the airport owner has decided that for the first time in 18 years she is going to do maintenance on the runway tomorrow. She intends to close the runway. I guess our fly-in is canceled.
 
Sorry to hear that Phil...I was talking to Ed Bohannon today about stopping in and seeing his RV-3, and he mentioned that he thought your runway was going to be closed tomorrow - guess this confirms it. Politics? At an Airpark? ;)

Runway Closed...

Too bad if there is only one owner of your runway and surrounding land. Our Airpark was like that initially until a group of homeowners approached the sole owner (the developer) and got him to sell. Airpark politics can be interesting in and of themselves; but having a dictator in control would be even worse I'd think!
