Nut and washer size pitch servo pushrod

drmax

Well Known Member
Hello. Noticed when I reinstalled my upgraded pitch servo, (avionics upgrade) there was not the added larger (safety) washer on either end of the push rod. I'm not near my plane and needed to order some "spruce" stuff. Would someone have that size of larger washer, i.d and o.d, or p/n...and then the size of the self locking nut for the rod end bolts? (or p/n)
Thx for any help....DM

I found the drawing at TruTrak. Says #10 washers. Guess a 3/16th's nut will do. I recon the large washer should be about the size of a quarter.
i think I'm good...
Thx....DM

RE: Pitch Servo Pushrod install

Drmax,

The GRT autopilot installation manual has some very good pictures and a detailed drawing (page 11) of how to the servo push rod and rod end bearings should be installed. The GRT servos mount and connect to the aircraft controls just like the TruTrak autopilot servos.

Here is the link to the GRT autopilot manuals.

Thank you! That really helped. I see my aileron servo could use the same big washer, if that rod end bearing were to fail. DM

I have an aversion to things that are heavier than they need to be (on the left) and made these for my aileron servo pushrod.
