This is the only picture I can find. The round orange object below and in front of the oil filter is the B&C 8amp PM alternator. The orange part is always rotating when the engine is running.

Here is a drop box link to a B&C 410 alternator mounted on the vacuum pump pad on my o-320. Photos i took on a just completed overhaul.

Here is a cluttered view of the engine on the 14. I had no significant interference issues. However to tighten all four mounting bolts I had to remove, and then reinstall, the right mag. Someone sells a special purpose wrench that will allow you to install the tricky nut with the mag in place.

Thank you. This is just what I was looking for and glad to hear there were no significant interferences.
They were indeed - I had to break myself of the habit of setting tools and stuff on the wings when I took it in for paint!
