Rivets on Baggage Bulkhead

I will be installing my top next week. The plans have you leave the top 4 rivets out where the baggage bulkhead meets the center brace. I have not seen where they instruct you to put them in. However, I will need to install them before the top goes on, due to the o/h console.

I haven't noticed any problems by doing this, but thought I would ask to see if I am missing some hidden issue.

Not having the brace there makes getting in back for wiring, seat belts etc. It is very easy to push against it, damage it when moving in and out.

I cannot think of any other reason for leaving it out. I'd put it in earlier if I was to do a second build.
