I sent an email to Van's asking for advice but didn't get a reply. Is it ok to drill into the spar to mount my Garmin pitot regulator which would require four #28 holes? Given the number of holes already in the spar I'm assuming yes but given that it IS the main spar I thought I would double check.

I asked the same question a while back.
Got the all clear. Mounted 4x #8 nut plates in the spar web.
