Oil filter adapter needs temp probe adapter?

Hello gang!

I have this oil filter adapter that is the subject of a few questions (here and off the forum). In this picture I show the Van's supplied oil temperature probe sitting on top of the filter adapter and next to the orifice it is supposed to go into. The probe is too small (1/4 NPT) to fit the opening. Is there an adapter fitting I can get or do I need to replace this probe?

Never mind.

I located the "Gauge Installation" plans and see where there is a Van's VA-147 adapter needed for their temperature probe. I may actually have that in my inventory somewhere.
