Round 2.25 Panel mount GPS

I keep hoping that one of the manufactures will come up with a small 2.25 inch panel mount GPS. The GPS needs the following features
- WAAS chip
- Small color screen
- RS232 output
- 9 to 28 volt input power
- Ability to program a single direct to waypoint
- Priced under 500 dollars
- {OPTIONAL} WiFi or Blue tooth communications with existing iPad flight programs

My reason for this GPS unit is just to drive the autopilot system. It would be small and efficient taking up very little panel space. It's only function would be to drive a horizontal (wing leveler autopilot). This would save lots of room in the panel for other items or larger navigational screens. It seems the only way to get a GPS in panel is either with a com or a very large panel mount rectangular unit.

Just my thoughts

Most of the portables will drive an autopilot

and give you a lot of functionality. The iFly 740 is my favorite, but the Garmin portables will do it, also. There used to be some 3.125 panel mount GPSs (Apollo?) and maybe a Garmin(?), but not sure about the RS232 output.

Take care,

Ron
