F-411 Replacement?

Have any of you guys replaced just the F-411 vertical bars? I'm trying to nail down my HS alignment and that may be the 'most correct' way for me to do it.

Did you remove the deck as well or could you replace the bars with the deck on?

I had to replace my F-411 upright bars due to having to replace the entire horizontal and vertical stab. The original bolt holes wouldn't line up and I didn't feel safe drilling more holes too close to the originals. I did take off the top plate to gain access and buck the new rivets. It was a relatively easy fix.
