PTT circuit

I have a Ray Allen stick grip wired as per their manual that uses a common wire from the ground bus to the stick grip for PTT, Trim, and in my case, Trutrack CWS . I left a single PTT lead hanging out to route to the jack. I'm getting ready to wire the mike jacks and the PS Engineering drawing shows two PTT wires going to the Jack from the switch. I really don't want to tear into my stick grip to add a dedicated ground wire going to the mike jack. My Question IS: Has anyone had any issue using a common shared ground for the PTT as indicated by Ray Allen with only one side of the of the switch going directly to the mike jack.

I wired mine up that way, tested fine so far with Dynon comm and 430W working through the audio panel.

Mine works just fine wired exactly as you describe. PAR100EX and Garmin480 comms with Tosten grip switches.
