My son and I will be going on a one week VFR cross country Aug 5 to 12. Flying out of Leamington Ontario (CLM2).
First stop will be to tour the National USAF museum. Local airports previously referred to on VAF are Green County-Jackson (I19), Springfield-Beckley (KSGH), Dayton Wright Brothers (KMGY), Moraine Air Park (I73). Hanger space for a couple nights would be nice. Any recommendations?
Next stop Lee's Summit (KLXT) to visit other son & family in KC. Got this one covered for hanger space with a friend there.
After KC we are wide open to go where weather permits. Since we are flat landers and not yet checked out in the mountains and time will be short we won't plan on heading into the Rockies. Any recommendations for scenic/RV friendly places west of KC?
