If these are out of a Comanche they are IO-320-B1A engines and require a dynafocal 2 mount and have rear induction sumps.

I don't know if vans makes a d2 mount for the rv-4. Also the sump would need to be changes as there is not enough clearance for the rear induction on that engine. I know the engine can be changed to a d1 but I don't know the details of the process other than the mount lugs must be changed on the engine.

Default Dynafocal 2 to 1 conversion

I had a IO-320 B1A crankcase converted from its original Dyna 2 configuration to Dyna 1. Engine was disassembled and Divco in Tulsa did the work for $250. The engine mounting ears get welded up then machined and drilled to Dynafocal 1 configuration. A bottom or forward inlet sump is needed to work on a RV.

I donít know why I havenít built one of these for years, maybe Vanís decided to stop offering them but I have built many type 2 Dyna mounts for RV-4 in the past and still could build them, seems if someone needed one we could talk to Vanís and work something out.

Sorry, I miss labeled this post and tried to edit it but it didn't work. They are out of a 1965 Twin Apache and they are o-320.
