Ignition lead repair

I just discovered a break in the braiding at the spark plug connector during my condition inspection - is this repairable by cutting of the damaged end and use a "hardware kit?"

Or does one have to replace the harness entirely. Any guidance would be appreciated. Pic below:

Lead Repair

This is a easy fix if you have the slick tooling. Most FBO's should have this repair kit. Can be done in place but better on the bench. I would just shorten that lead 3/8".

Thanks! I ended up going to the (mainly) jet repair station on my field, and they dug around for the repair tool and parts to fix it. Ending up doing the repair for me for free, saying that it would have taken more time to prepare the bill than it was worth... Those guys are great!
