Smile FAA announcement

The FAA is going to cancel the 2020 compliance rule for ADSB-out equipment. And if they do end up keeping the requirement they will pay 100% of all costs since this is a federally mandated rule.

This is a FACT so let's keep this rumor going. Maybe the FAA will hear about it and decide they need to give us more than a $500 rebate.

Hey I've always been a half FULL glass kind of guy so I like to think positive......

When I was in the USAF, we were told, "If you haven't heard a new rumor by 10 am, Start one!" In my 6 years, I never got to start one.

I'm guessing 3rd class medical reform. Or, they're handing administration of the federal airspace to Amazon and Google. One of those. Or both.

Aren't the congressional medical rule 180 days up on Tues. or Wed. this week?

My sources says the FAA is going to make a definitive statement on primers and also which is better, nose gear or tail dragger. Remote possibility of announcing new found data on slider vs tip-up.

The FAA will require a TSO'd primer, and the only one available will be apr. $500/pint due to the TSO process.

Nose gear is clearly safer, and the FAA will require all tail-draggers to be converted by the end of the year. They will generously provide a $25 credit to the first 3 aircraft owners to comply.

The slider / tip-up debate has indeed been settled, however the winner depends on which FSDO you ask.
