Tip: Static Electricity
Do not vacuum up micro/epoxy dust with your plastic bodied shopvac while standing on a vinyl floor wearing tennis shoes. Particularly during a period of low humidity.
Unless you need a jolt or three to correct your Atrial Fibrillation, bring Frankenstein's monster to life, or something like that...

This is why we always ground our A/C during fueling.
I bet your hair was standing up pretty proud before the "zap" ;-)

I think the real story is "low humidity" in Atlanta!

I had pulled all my carpeting out of the airplane for a good cleaning this past weekend, and had it all laid out on the wing and was vacuuming it while leaning up against the trailing edge. About every half second I could feel a small zap from my right leg where it was jumping to the airframe through the denim of my jeans, it's amazing how much static can be generated by a shop vac.

Built an off-plan 9A with too much fuel and too much HP. Should drop dead any minute now.

We get a constant stream of zaps just off the metal extension tube on our 'Henry' shop vac.
Now - vaguely related and not too much thread drift - have a look at these clowns who got a bike stuck on an electric fence......
