Double drilled skin help

I'm New Here
I don't even know how or when I did this. I was repairing a previous goof. The previous goof was on the horizontal stabilizer where the front spar mates with the reinforcement angle and the spar doubler. In replacing that mess I had to redrill the new inboard ribs. Somehow I didn't line everything up right.

Any ideas on going forward? Fix or replace?

My first try at adding an image. Hopefully it works.

Figure 8 hole

Ask Vans to be certain, but I think you can add a hole either side equally spaced while respecting edge distance. The offending hope maybe gets a rivet and some filler.
I didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn.:D

Well I did stay in a Holiday Inn. Maybe that?s the problem.

I?ll call Van?s Monday. Either for a fix or more parts.

Thanks

Whenever I read the word "spar" I would suggest calling Vans, with good photos. IMHO that's more important than the skin shown here. You absolutely want spar repairs done correctly.
With that said, if it were I, I'd get new parts and start over. You'll always know you have those two holes close together, even if no one else does. Call it a learning experience.

I had a similar issue with the empennage skin with a dimple. The Official Vans answer was to drill two new holes either side. same spacing but in the middle so offending holes have the correct spacing to not be needed.

Agree with Pete. Two new holes and -3 rivets either side and epoxy over the buggered hole. Problem solved, especially if that?s the bottom of the skin.

Thanks for the good advice, I feel much better about it now. I'll post what Van's says after I call them.
