Old Blue protective covering

I have checked the archives and found that diesel oil or kerosene will take off the old blue protective covering from my wings. this stuff has been on for ten years!

Has anyone tried this? Did it work?

I will paint mine, those that painted did you have to scuff, sand all surfaces?

Get a broomstick longer than your covered piece and start in a corner or end and wrap the plastic around the stick and keep working it off by rolling the stick across the piece.

Warming a LITTLE with a heat gun or hair dryer helps remove it.

Mine was on for a good 8 years. Came off fine when warm, so like suggested before, add some heat.

I had no problem peeling off the blue stuff. I used a long PVC pipe to remove it by rolling it onto the pipe. However, the clear stuff on the plexiglass canopy was tenacious and needed some persuasion.
