Gretz g-1000 pitot

Does anyone know if Gretz g1000 pitot can be used as simple on off heated pitot or am I stuck with the auto feature?

I tried contacting angus aviation in Australia to no avail. Mr Gretz said he no longer deals with the pitot and that he sold to angus.

In addition the instructions state you have to use auto heat sensor!?

According to Warren Gretz the circuit board MUST NOT be bypassed. I asked because my circuit board has failed.

Any information concerning repair or components would be appreciated
